That Jagore nonsense was so irritating I have changed channels the couple of times that 'it' happened.
On a related note...I recently came across an ACK book: Ram Charita Manas. The illustrations by some new guy (Damble or something) were awful. Ravanan had a Schwarzeneggar style body-build, every single character was built like they were built on the lines of the rock of Gibraltar. Including Vasishtar for God's sake !!
Ram and Sanjiv Waerkar of the olden days were my very own Raja ravi Varma in painting those pleasing, 'natural' pictures that have so shaped the way we understand the lore and myth.
And the names used to be Rama, Dasaratha etc. i.e. drop the 'n' and we can live with that for a pan-Indian reach. But this one was all Ram, Vishwamitr, Shatrugn ...
